Free front from Leamington, Warwickshire, dated 29th December 1835 from John Somers-Cocks, Viscount Eastnor (later Earl Somers), Member of Parliament for Reigate, Surrey. Lord Eastnor was elected M.P. for Reigate on 10th December 1832.
