Hi I work at the Mill House (Premier Inn) and have done so for the las 21yrs.I moved to Salfords in 1957 and I can remember part of the waterwheel still satnding in the river, today there is virtually nothing left of it.I did do some history of the Mill some years ago and have part of this picture on a postcard, I was wondering if it is at all possible to get copies of these pictures, I am willing to pay for them. Hallo, I was interested in Lorraine Morris' comments about Salfords Mill because I think the miller in the early twentieth century was a member of the Brown family, who had flour mills elsewhere in Surrey, London, and Hertfordshire. I would be pleased to hear from her about its history. |
