The master's house pictured on the left was not built until 1871.

I have a copy of this photo in the RGS archives annotated by Walter Bushby with the words "Grammar School 1885 altered 1895" The photo does not show thw 1895 alterations so 1885 is a reasonable estimate for the date of this image.
