I am a great-grandson of Oliver Quinton, a cabinetmaker and upholsterer who established his business in Station Road, Redhill in 1855, prior to his marriage in 1856. The business eventually branched into furniture removals and warehousing by which time it became known as Quinton & Sons. The business continued until 1927 or 1928. The Foden steam wagon and trailer were purchased by Oliver in 1904.
